Call for submissions: Sustainable Events Summit 2011

Posted by andrew on Thursday, September 30th, 2010

It’s that time again. We are now planning the Sustainable Events Summit 2011 and we’re looking forward to building on the work of previous years to make this the most engaging, practical and inspiring summit yet.

This year we want to broaden our reach to include contributors from beyond our current networks. For the first time, we are asking for submissions of potential case studies of sustainable events which we can showcase at the summit. In previous years case studies have included the premiere of “Age of Stupid,” presentations from LOCOG and an introduction to the work of RockCorps.

Do you have a suggestion for a speaker or contributor for 2011? Do you have an inspiring story to tell which would help delegates to understand the practical steps you have taken towards greater sustainability? Then we want to hear from you.

Drop us a line with:

– Your contact information;
– A brief (200 words max) summary of your presentation;
– Any other information you think we should be aware of.

Send your suggestions and submissions to Andrew Williams, andrew@seventeenevents.co.uk.

The Sustainable Events Summit 2011 will take place in central London in spring next year. We’ll be updating the summit website soon, but for now if you want to check out footage from the 2010 event along with the programme and speakers, head to www.sustainableeventssummit.com.
