Cow pat petrol and fair fashion

It’s time for this week’s sustainable news tidbits:

  • Cows hit the news again this week. A US dairy has converted its milk trucks to run on cow manure. Very sensible when you have 10,000 cows!
  • Fairtrade Fortnight starts on Monday. Join me at the launch event on London’s South Bank this Sunday, or see the website for more events and ways to get involved, and make a bit extra effort to seek out and ask for certified products.
  • Last week I reported on the government’s big green refurb, this week they are getting behind ethical fashion launching the Sustainable Fashion Roadmap initiative at a London Fashion Week event. Observer Ethical Awards’ Lucy Siegle and Livia Firth are also getting behind ethical fashion with 12 Degrees, a pop up shop that certainly puts the style into sustainability.
