Frieze Art Fair
I went to the private view of the Frieze Art Fair last night and was reminded of Homer Simpson’s trip to the MonstroMart – “Where Shopping is a Baffling Ordeal.” Just when you thought you’d got to the end, a whole new hall would materialise on the horizon. Never have so many chins and bad moustaches been stroked so earnestly. There may well have been some future masterpieces on display, but alas my artistic eye was obviously not trained on them. Star spot count was also pretty low, saw Grayson Perry, Sam Taylor-Wood and some Chapmans from the art crowd, but no Elton, Gwyneth or Jude – though I did see Abi Titmuss get in to her car on the way out. She looked confused too.
