Are you interested in working in the events industry? Do you think it’s important that meetings and conferences become more sustainable? Can you balance a creative approach with sustainable thinking and meticulous accuracy?

Seventeen Events is a sustainable event management agency based in east London. We have a rolling programme of short term, paid internships, and we’re now accepting applications for 2010. The only minimum requirement is that you can work from our offices full time for at least four weeks. We’re looking for applicants who understand that events require a methodical approach which often involves a focus on admin and planning, but who also recognise the rewards of being able to deliver an amazing, creative event for our clients. You should have a keen interest in sustainability and be prepared to apply that interest to make our clients’ events better.

A bit about us: We’re based at Container City in east London, on the DLR and Jubilee Line. Read more about our sustainable approach at www.seventeenevents.co.uk.

A bit about you: The key skills we ask all staff to bring to Seventeen are accuracy, enthusiasm and professionalism.

We have a full induction and training programme and our interns are currently paid £6.70 per hour.

If you’d like to be considered email claire@seventeenevents.co.uk with an up to date CV, three bullet point summaries of events you think would benefit from a sustainable approach, and a 200 word (max) answer to the following question: in terms of sustainability, which is more important – climate change or social justice?

Please return applications by the end of Friday 15th January.
