New FairTrade products

Posted by admin on Thursday, August 9th, 2007

I just got a very positive e-mail from the Fairtrade Foundation saying that their range of products is ever expanding. Some of the good news is that Fairtrade teas and coffees are being served in the new Wembley Stadium and on Eurostar, Ben & Jerry’s have a new flavour ice-cream – Fairtrade Vanilla Toffee Crunch; and there are more and more Fairtrade certified cotton clothes. Check out www.pantstopoverty.com and order your new fashionable knickers or boxers, all Fairtrade products.

I was working for the Fairtrade Foundation during the 2007 Fairtrade Fortnight as a tour producer volunteer and what an impact that had on me – travelling around Scotland with Conrad James (a banana farmer from St. Lucia) to promote Fairtrade Foundation and products. He made me realise what it means to him, his family and his society that we buy Fairtrade products. A little change for us and a huge impact on someone’s life.  Change today – change to Fairtrade.
