Pines Calyx
I managed to escape from the office (and London!) last week when the lovely folks at Futerra organised a trip to an amazing new venue called Pines Calyx, situated right on the white cliffs of Dover. The venue is about as eco-friendly as you can get, using discarded compacted rubble for its superstructure and reclaimed timber for the interiors. Set in beautiful grounds, it was a relaxing, inspiring place to visit, and was clearly run by people who really cared about their work. Before I went I was sceptical about how useful a venue so far from London could really be, but having experienced it I’m now eager for a client to come along who needs a relaxing retreat! Well worth checking out if you’re in the area.
