Spotted
I noticed a couple of cool connections to Seventeen in music videos over the weekend. First I caught the promo for Mark Ronson’s version of the Smith’s classic “Stop Me If you Think You’ve Heard This One Before.” The opening scenes take place in our very own Fatboy’s Diner and seem to involve some magic trainers – all very odd. Then I saw the video for Reverend & The Makers current top ten hit (what is the world coming to?!) “Heavyweight Champion of the World” which features our hero (presumably the Reverend?) sat in top east end pub the Palm Tree. The Palm Tree is no stranger to cinematic action having already featured in videos for David Gray and Matt Johnson and also in a few adverts. Well worth checking out their old school jazz nights at the weekend which I imagine will be a much more pleasant experience post-July 1st.
