Our work: Every Action Counts

Every Action Counts is an initiative devised by the campaigning social justice organisation Capacity Global. The programme is delivered through a consortium of voluntary and community sector organisations to encourage the public to make environmental aware and socially just choices.

The Challenge

The brief was to create a high profile and well attended celebration of the Every Action Counts programme to reflect and share the inspiring good work carried out by the organisations involved. The project was planned as a full day event consisting of workshops dealing with different topics which would be creative & engaging for a diverse group of attendees.

The solution

We managed & organised all elements of this event. We pulled together the high profile guest list by methodically approaching representatives from companies under the Every Action Counts umbrella such as the Guinness Trust and Sainsbury’s Charity Trust. We approached and secured speakers including Hilary Benn MP and The Eden Project’s Tim Smit.

It was key that the venue hosting the event had a strong sustainability policy. We compiled and investigated prospective venues and booked Coin St on London’s South Bank which has floor to ceiling natural daylight and other state-of-the-art sustainable features. We expertly dressed and themed the space including creating the ‘Marketplace’ area with stalls set out for consortium partners to profile their work, and for sponsors and potential funders to network with organisations.

Throughout the event planning we were keen to incorporate sustainable initiatives to echo the ethics of the project. These included briefing caterers to create a purely vegetarian and vegan menu. We chose attractive invites printed on recycled fibre card sent in envelopes made from old maps.

The results

Capacity Global were pleased with our attention to detail in ensuring their aims and objectives were met. This event built a strong relationship with the organisation and we look forward to working with them again on other projects.
